The American Statistical Society selected Marc Hallin as the recipient of this prestigious award

The Noether Distinguished Scholar Award is given each year to a distinguished senior researcher in nonparametric statistics. In 2022, the American Statistical Society selected Marc as the recipient of this prestigious award. Marc will receive the award at the Joint Statistical Meetings in Washington DC early August, where he will deliver an invited lecture. The award was given for the first time in 2000, to Erich Lehmann. Marc is only the second European-based recipient of the award. Warm congratulations to him for this outstanding achievement.
